Post Promtay

*Breathes sigh of relief*

Wow. I didn't choke to death on the stage. I didn't get booed at (I think). Most importantly...I STAYED IN A ROOM WITH 10 (hawt) GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG WTF?!?!?! EH !?!?!?!? EHHHH??!?!?!!?

Right then...Uh..How do I go on first.....

Okay..I've got it now.

They told me rehearsal would start at 2. At the Barra Restaurant at KL Tower..So I went at 1. I'm stupid like that ^^ Anyways..I just left my stuff (Bag with shoes and stuff, thingey to keep coat in, and a folder with my script) at the restaurant and wandered around. I had some food somewhere else. I checked my watch, but it wasn't even near 2, so I went for a nature walk. I didn't get really far though, Cause I didn't want to get all sweaty before I needed to heh.. I did help some guy take his picture.

And when I got back to the Restaurant, I saw Amanda (one of the committee members of the promtay) there already..I didn't talk to her though, cause I wasn't completely sure who she was (Got confirmation later). And again..I just sat there...I'm shy okay ?

Eventually, the other members arrived. When Cassie and Ee Leng (The other 2 Emcees) arrived, we got down to rehearsing. Ee Leng kept on reminding me to remember my lines so much that I forgot em =P We did a few rehearsals without the Mic first..then we went on stage to do a few with the Mic on. After the Emcees rehearsals, I stepped aside whilst the committee members practiced their dance routine. They looked great. Then after they finished, we all went to the Pacific Regency to rest a bit.

** Explanation **

The male committee members booked a room at a hotel too. I didn't go with them because they were going to change the latest when compared to the others. Besides, I had to go practice the script with the other 2 emcees , who were girls, so yes, I went with the girls to their hotel room. A big one. The bathroom was huge.

Right...I practiced a bit more with Ee Leng and Cassie. Then I took a bath. In case you were wondering, I did not peek at anybody. They had high heels and what not to threaten me..What did I have ? Eh ?? Somebody said I looked like a schoolboy. To that somebody , "Sucky necklace!!" Rightey-o. Ee Leng couldn't wait, so she and I took the free shuttle back to the Restaurant and practiced a bit more. Then my uncle showed up. He was free so he came along and did his photographer thing. And he's good I tell you. Wayyyy good. Anyways..after practicing a few times more, the time finally came. Cassie came and we just went over our lines again a few more times with Ee Leng constantly reminding us to remember our parts and to back each other up.

The guests were starting to arrive already. The SBS gang were already there. The others asked me if I would please invite all guests to gather at the lobby/dance floor...over the mic. That I did, albeit in a sucky way, cause nobody really did what I asked heh... First hurdle down, we again went over our lines. The committee members had set up some doodle boards near the stairs to the terrace. And again, they asked me to invite the guests to write some stuff there. "Guys, there's some doodle boards over there, why don't you write some thing here ? Don't just sit there" is kinda what I said to them. Miraculously, some moved..I thanks the gawds above XD

A while later, the guests were really pouring in. We had to check all the people who were bringing bags in. Y'know, just in case one of them wanted to play Hitman...All the bags were stuffed under a table behind the registration corner.

Before we were to give the welcoming speech, the other 2 emcees started the icebreaking activities. We were gonna do something ice-breakish, but in the end, we settled for something that involved cash. And we all know how cash can attract attention. One of the first few challenges was for a girl to bring a guy's coat to win RM20. So...we stripped Amirul of his coat and handed it to Poh Yee. She won =P The challenge immediately after that was to bring a pair of earrings from a girl for RM10. I asked Poh Yee for her earrings..and got me an extra RM10 XD. Hurrah.

After the ice breaking activities, we had to give the welcoming speech. I think we nailed it. We introduced ourselves, "Bling Ling", "Sugar daddy Kent" and "Foxy". I was the one who talked about the rules. Yes, you heard me. Thanks to me, no fights were started over girls XD. Then, we invited the guests to eat.



Okay..this post..I typed up a few days after the Promtay, in Thailand..and it's just the start of the promtay..I haven't even gotten to the performances yet O_o..Ima type type those up at a later time..like..when my feet are back to normal =)

My poor feet...

Well..I'm back from Thailand. And I've hurt myself. Firstly, on the second last day I was in Thailand, I was praying at a temple. The joss sticks went up in flames. I continued praying. Suddenly, the flames licked my left index finger. I feel a sharp stab of pain and immediately drop the joss sticks. After that, When I'm showering, whenever water touches that part, I feel pain again. I ignore it, since nothing else could be seem. When I get back to Malaysia, I look at my finger again. There's a swelling. My parents tell me to burst it and drain the water out. So, my mom pricked it with a pin and I cut the skin with a pair of sharp grooming scissors. The water is let out and I'm not worried anymore.

I was wrong. The next day, pus started to form. It became infected, I guess. And since the swelling was at the joint, I feel the pain everything I try to form my hands into a knuckle. I have to constantly keep my left index finger straight. So yes, it kinda hurts when I'm typing this.

My feet have also been hurt. I went out on Wednesday with 2 friends. At first, we were going to the karaoke and then watch a movie. But the night before, they told me that they were going to roller blade instead of watching a movie. I'll admit I was interested, yet very scared of falling down. Kind of reluctantly, we went to that place. The roller skates were a snug fit, that I can say. However, after about half an hour of going around the place while falling down frequently, I felt that the inner side of both my feet were like in flames. What does a normal guy do ? He quits and nurses his wounds. What did I do ? I continued. Slap me please. No wait, punch me. Better yet, make me fall asleep and only wake up when the wounds are healed.

Anyways, after about an hour and a half, I couldn't take it anymore. I had to take my roller skates off. My left foot was worse. The skin had come off and it looked a raw red. My right foot was kind of not bad , or so I thought. Turns out, there wasn't any raw skin because there was a swelling there just like the one on my index finger. I pricked it and drained the water about 15 minutes before I started typing this. And so, now, I think I cannot walk properly. Both of the affected areas will constantly scrape against my shoes and bring amount horrifying pain. I have no idea how I'm going to move about. I was hurting the entire time I was walking a girl to the LRT Station.

I guess I brought this on myself. My socks were loose to begin with. But dammit, it hurts so bad. The sting I get when I move makes me just stay in the same position for minutes so the pain subsides.

Well, that's about it, I guess. There's more actually. But I'll leave that for the next post.


*Should I ask her the question ? I mean, it's gonna be a new year soon. Better to be hurt in the old year and start anew next year than to be hurt next year and have that feeling all year long....but still...>_<...*

It's funny

I don't like endings you know. I most definitely don't like bad endings, and even if it's a Happy ending, it's still the end. I remember once in a Calvin and Hobbes strip that Calvin's Dad was telling them a bedtime story. At the end, he told them that the story never, ever ends. That they would continue the story every day. I'd love for that kind of story =)

And that is why I'm feeling a bit down. I've just finished a manga recently. It's called Ichigo 100. And I love the story, the characters...well..I love everything about it. And I didn't even know that author was a female until I was just about finishing the whole series. I've bee trying to find some anime based on the manga. So Far, I've bought 2 DVDs based on the manga. Haven't finished either, cause I'm gonna savour every bit of it ^^

A whirlwind ..of emotions

Fwine..I felt guilty for not posting..so here's an update...A huge fuggin one.

First off, my phone is dead. I got pushed into the swimming pool. No, I did not purposely drop into the swimming pool because a girl was shouting for help. (Don't look at me like that). The dude who pushed me has my phone now, he's gonna repair it or replace it for me. Yeah..I miss my phone. *Slap* I told you not to look at me like that.

Secondly, the prom. Well, the prom organized by the peeps in my class has been combined, We're now in cahoots with the people from the Promtay. I know I might be the slowest committee member who's posted about this. You all might have known earlier, I was just too lazy to update. So here's some details about it.
1) It's on the 15th of December.
2) It'll be held at the Barra Restaurant at KL Tower. Ground floor methinks. Swanky, eh ?
3) The theme is Retro Christmas. Yes, dresses from the 70's. Disco style. We're talking Afros and what not. Snazzy dance moves. You best watch some Saturday Night Fever.
4) There'll be awesome performances including a prominent DJ.
5) Tickets are at Rm70.
6) Look, check the promtay blog. Everything's there actually XD.

Hrm..Okay now..what else..Gosh. Yeah. I auditioned to be the MC for the prom. So er, there'll be 3 MCs on that day. I hope the organisers don't drop me. I'd really like to be an MC but I'm so scared and nervous. Couple that with the fact that I'm still quite new to the other MC-s and I'm just shaking at the knees.

Yeah..I still haven't found a partner yet. I don't know if I'll be able to....Dayum it.

Aha..here's something. I went to Midvalley. Mon BC friends wanted to have a gathering. And a gathering we did have. 11 am at Midvalley Megamall they said. But I was there before 9 am. Why ?, you ask. still have no idea. I couldn't even find a way into the building that early. I just circled around and finally found a way in. Had breakfast at McDonald's. Then I went to Speedy Videos to check on the anime available. I spent nearly an hour there. I just had nowhere to go. Couldn't find any Ichigo 100% anime though. Yes, I love Ichigo 100%. After that , I went to MPH to while away the time. Kinda lost myself there, because it was Midday when I finally left. Seems the dudes had been calling me for a while now. I rushed to the cinema. After a few minutes, the others came too. They had told me before that there would be 3 guys (including me) and 2 girls coming. But suddenly, another girl who said she couldn't come showed up. =). Anyways, we lined to buy tickets to the Golden Compass. One of the original girls coming said she might be late so we bought the 2 pm show...Well..There was a long time before the movie started, so we just walked around.

Line break. I hope I didn't hurt your eyes. Awww...it did ? Well here. *Slaps*. Didn't work ?...hmm. Oh well. Yeah..2 pm finally came and we went in. The movie wasn't bad actually. I just wished it was longer. I mean..there wasn't enough Daniel Craig O_O. And heh, the girl who was supposed to come didn't show up. Dammit Ju Ween, bring me some thingeys from Japan >_<...Yeah..after the movie, we just walked around again. I left at about 5.30pm. As soon as I got home, I went to sleep. I was so exhausted. I blame my being at Midvalley too early in the morning.

Well..what else. I'm broke by the way. Seriously, I'm very out of cash. My father won't allow me to work. I have no idea why. He says if I need money he can give me some. But it's not the same is it ? I mean, when I use his money, I feel guilty. If I work though, at least I know the money I wasted was mine to begin with. >_<.

Oh yeah. The promtay's on the 15th. And I'll be leaving for Thailand on the 16th. So if you aren't satisfied with me as the MC on that day, send any hatemail to my email address ^^. If you liked me however, send cash please.

Final note? I'll be taking the undang lecture alone. I .. well I asked someone to go with me. The person agreed. And I admit..I was very happy. *grins sheepishly*. But things didn't work out. So I'll be taking it soon anyways.

Will continue to update about the promtay when I have the chance. Going for another rehearsal on Wednesday probably. Cross your fingers and hope I really get the MC thingey ^^.
